04 May The CCPAE grants NAEKO LOGÍSTICS the “ECO” Certification, which will allow it to manage products with ecological certification
NAEKO LOGÍSTICS, S.A., a company of the NAEKO GROUP specialized in logistics and storage, has obtained the “ECO” certification by the CCPAE (Catalan Council of Organic Agricultural Production). This new certification, which is in addition to the health accreditations already available to NAEKO, will allow the logistical management of products with “ECO” certification, thus guaranteeing their complete traceability.
The certification allows NAEKO not only the storage of ECO products in its warehouses (which have controls and records of both temperature and humidity, and are managed thanks to its own management system that guarantees batch control at all times and expiration dates) but also the packaging and labeling of organically certified food products.
Organic certification, governed by European regulations, guarantees that certified products have been produced or processed in accordance with the rules of organic farming, and that they have been controlled throughout their production, processing, packaging and marketing.
The CCPAE (Catalan Council of Organic Agricultural Production) is a public law corporation with its own legal personality, administratively supervised by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Generalitat de Catalunya. As a control authority that audits and certifies agri-food and organic products in Catalonia, it is included in the list of public authorities and control bodies published annually by the European Union.
