04 Mar NAEKO is firmly committed to CSR by creating the “Sustainability Committee”
Aware of the important role that, as social agents, companies develop today, the NAEKO group has created its own “Sustainability Committee” thus following its path towards more sustainable management aimed at generating greater social impact in all areas: labour, social and environmental, as well as with customers, suppliers and institutions.
The committee, formed on March 20, 2019 and composed of Xavier Roma, Jordi Rabasso, Javier Valverde, Alejandro Zunszain and Guillem Casòliva, has the function of promoting projects to measure the progress of the company in all areas, continuously improving its social and environmental impact.
With the advice and mentoring of R4S – Roots for sustainability, a process has begun that shall culminate in the medium term with “B CORP” certification.
The commitments assumed by the Committee in its founding act are outlined in four main pillars:
– Managing the company in a transparent and ethical way with orientation toward social and environmental performance.
– Promoting a quality, safe and inclusive work environment.
– Promoting local economic and social development.
– Providing quality and efficient logistics service with the least possible environmental impact.
On a social level, the Committee will supervise the collaborations that NAEKO has been carrying out with entities for social purposes, to which collaborations in the cultural sphere and that promote sports and healthy living will be added.
